What are the characteristics of RFID?

RFID is the abbreviation of Radio Frequency Identification and is a non-contact scanning system. You can attach an "RF tag" that stores electronic information to the product, and use a dedicated reading device to read the electronic information instead of bar codes.

RFID is a system that can use radio waves to store and output information. RFID is not only used for logistics, but also for electronic IDs and electronic money that you use every day. Recently, it is also used in clothing stores.

The following are the characteristics of RFID:

1. Multiple tags can be read at the same time

Usually, when reading the barcode of a product, you need to read the products one by one.

Time-consuming. RFID does not need to scan the product barcodes one by one and only needs to hold a dedicated scanner to read the tags at one time.

2. It can be read from a long distance

Normally, every time a product is read, it takes time and effort to use a stepladder placed in a higher position or lower the product. Using RFID, high-level products can be read without using a ladder.

3. RFID, the label can be read without opening the box

You only need to place a dedicated scanner on the top of the box to read the barcode without opening the box, which improves work efficiency.

4. No need to worry about the use environment

For example, even if the tape is stuck on the label or dirty, the label information can be read, so it can be used without worrying about the environment...

5. Long life and long effect

RFID tags are semiconductors and can be used semi-permanently. The passive type can be used without batteries.

Since RFID tags have built-in data, they can be rewritten.
