What materials can be welded by a handheld laser welding machine?

The handheld laser welding machine has become an emerging industrial technology in industrial welding processing with its advantages of fast welding speed, high precision, high efficiency, and smooth and beautiful welds. Hand-held laser welding machines are widely used, but many people do not know what materials can be welded by laser welding machines.

1. Die steel

The handheld laser welding machine is suitable for welding various types of die steel, and the welding effect is better.

2. Carbon steel

Carbon steel is welded with a handheld laser welding machine, and the effect is good, and the quality of its welding depends on the content of impurities. To obtain good welding quality, preheating is required when the carbon content exceeds 0.25%. When steels with different carbon content are welded to each other, the welding torch can be slightly biased to the side of the low-carbon material to ensure the quality of the joint. Since the heating speed and cooling speed of the laser welding machine are very fast during welding, it is used when welding carbon steel. As the carbon content increases, the susceptibility to weld cracks and notches will increase. Both medium and high carbon steel and ordinary alloy steel can be well laser welded, but preheating and post-welding treatment are required to eliminate stress and avoid cracks.

3. Alloy aluminum

For laser welding of low-alloy high-strength steel, as long as the selected welding parameters are appropriate, a joint with mechanical properties equivalent to the base metal can be obtained.

4. Stainless steel

In general, stainless steel welding is easier to obtain high-quality joints than conventional welding. Due to the high welding speed and small heat-affected zone of laser welding, the overheating phenomenon and the large linear expansion coefficient of stainless steel welding are alleviated, and the welding seam has no defects such as pores and inclusions. Compared with carbon steel, stainless steel is easier to obtain deep penetration narrow welds due to its low thermal conductivity, high energy absorption rate, and melting efficiency. Welding thin plates with low-power laser welding can obtain joints with a well-formed appearance and smooth and beautiful welds.

5. Copper and copper alloys

Welding copper and copper alloys are prone to problems of infusion and incomplete penetration. Therefore, concentrated energy and high-power heat source should be used with preheating measures; when the thickness of the workpiece is thin or the structural rigidity is small, and there is no measure to prevent deformation, welding Later, it is easy to produce larger deformation, and when the welded joint is subject to greater rigidity, it is easy to produce welding stress; it is also easy to produce hot cracks when welding copper and copper alloys; pores are a common defect in copper and copper alloy welding.

6. Aluminum and aluminum alloy

Aluminum and aluminum alloys are highly reflective materials. When welding aluminum and its alloys, as the temperature increases, the solubility of hydrogen in aluminum increases sharply. The dissolved hydrogen becomes a source of defects in the weld, and there are many pores in the weld. , And there may be a cavity in the root during deep penetration welding, and the weld bead formation is poor.

The laser welding machine can weld far more than these materials. Laser welding can be carried out between a variety of dissimilar metals. Research has shown that it is applied to copper-nickel, nickel-titanium, copper-titanium, titanium-molybdenum, brass-copper, and low-temperature materials. Carbon steel-copper and other dissimilar metals can be laser welded under certain conditions.

A Comprehensive Guide to Dust Collector Filter Bags

A Comprehensive Guide to Dust Collector Filter Bags With the rapid advancement of technology, we have seen an increase in the number of industries established around the world. Industries that deal with heavy-duty chemicals, on the other hand, may emit dangerous fumes. Poor air quality not only affects people who inhale it on a regular basis, but it also impacts sensitive equipment.   Dust collectors, especially dust collector filter bags, are used in manufacturing sectors to remove microscopic pollutants that affect room air quality, such as debris, chemicals, dust, and gases, making it safe to breathe for you and your staff.  Dust collector filter bags  are necessary for preserving air quality in chemical processing businesses in order to protect employees' health and lower maintenance expenses. They are designed for heavy-duty use and dealing with high-volume dust loads in order to effectively capture contaminants from the air and make it safer to breathe. ...

Key points when using Excel to manage inventory

Risks faced by inventory management in Excel (1) Not suitable for large-volume or complex inventory management ①Data loss risk ② Input error ③ Difficult to update in real time ④ Dual registration For example, inventory management in Excel is very risky, and inventory may not be reflected in real time. Key points when using Excel to manage inventory If you accept the above risks and manage your inventory in Excel, please keep the following points in mind. (1) Establish operation rules such as data storage location and backup Let's manage the storage location in a folder to prevent deletion etc. If you have a lot of Excel on your desktop, it may cause you to delete it accidentally. This also makes it difficult to understand which is the inventory management table. In addition, if you create a backup file before opening the file, even if you delete it, you can restore it to the state before opening it, so you can avoid risks. (2) Use checklist How about creating a checklist for each p...

Why Logistics Is The Future Of Business

Business is a highly competitive field, and if you're trying to succeed in it then you need to be proactive and innovative. One of the most popular trends right now is using software to manage your business processes, and this trend has spread out in various fields such as medical records, travel management, and even accounting. Read on and find out why they chose logistics as the future of business! Logistics-providing benefits for shoppers The next time you're in a shopping mall, look around. You'll see that it's mostly full of retailers who sell their goods. However, you'll notice that the stores are not all lined up in straight lines. Instead, the stores are often clustered together or arranged in an irregular pattern throughout the mall. This is due to the logistics chain being used by most retailers these days. Logistics driving online and offline growth Logistics is the fastest-growing industry today. Logistics is driving online and offline growth, with compa...
